I have been told that we are currently living in a time that we will never forget. Honestly, I believe it. COVID-19 has turned me back into a stay-at-home mom, who just so happens to be working full-time between two different businesses. It has me teaching 3rd grade, kindergarten, and pre-k…all while attempting to maintain my sanity.
Yes, life has been stressful. I have found myself being aggravated with my children more often than I would like to admit. We have fought. We have cried…but most importantly, we have laughed. COVID-19 might have turned our world upside down, but there are still so many continuous blessings to see.
Recently I had these beautiful porch photos taken of my kiddos and pups. I won’t lie to you. When I first saw people posting porch photos I thought it was kind of silly. I thought I didn’t need photos to remember this time, but it turns out I was wrong.
Photos like these remind me that there is always a silver lining, even when in the throws of a pandemic such as COVID-19.
These photos show me that even if I feel like I am at my worst, I am not. I am still loved, needed, and a source of joy for those around me. (Including these precious children.)
COVID-19 is here rather we want it to be or not.
Take this opportunity to connect with others and find the good that surrounds you. Today, my hope for you is that you take a moment and write down/reflect on the ways in which you are currently blessed.
Our wonderful photographer is Emily Steward. Not only is she incredibly professional, but she was amazing with my children. Even if you don’t live in the Tulsa area, fear not – she travels! (And she is worth every dime.) You can visit her website by clicking here.
