Today I’m sharing how we keep it simple in the kitchen. I always love getting to peek into the lives of other minimalists. In turn, I thought I would allow you guys on in to see our minimalist kitchen!
We are so lucky to have a ton of cabinets in this kitchen. However, on the minimalist front, many of our cabinets are empty or almost empty. The section of cabinets off to the side, for example, is actually craft storage for the kids’ many art projects as well as my sewing and knitting items.
I pride myself on keeping our kitchen countertops clear of junk because it is then easy to clean. You see, I am a messy cook, and I am blessed to have messy “shoe” chefs who like to help me prep dinner. Having the ability to easily wipe off our countertop to return it to a clean space is key for my family.
Our pantry is found on the outskirts of our little minimalist kitchen, on the path to the dining room. I’m not going to lie, I take a sense of pride in the organization of our pantry. I do this because it is easier for children to maintain an organized space when they are aware of where the item is to go when they are finished using it.
Last fall I wrote a blog about how to create a minimalist kitchen. If you want to see further in our cabinets and drawers, feel free to head here. I’d love to talk you through our minimalist kitchen on a deeper level!
